Road Pictures, headquartered in Shanghai, is one of China’s leading distributors of Japanese anime and international prestige cinema, with blockbuster titles such as Suzume and the first Slam Dunk in its portfolio. As the company embarks on a major expansion of its anime IP and physical entertainment business, we shaped the brand vision for this next chapter.
We developed the brand from the ground up, delivering the core concept and brand narrative, a comprehensive visual identity system (logo, color palette, and typography), as well as designs for immersive retail experiences, pop-up spaces, digital platforms, and printed materials. The result is a cohesive, scalable brand ecosystem designed to connect international anime with audiences in powerful, experiential ways.

The logo and graphic elements are derived from a sequence of perfect circles, and they embody the connection of the anime community. Every element is designed to be seamlessly applied across a wide range of media, including logos, applications, signage, and display fixtures.
We developed a store design consisting of three modular basic fixtures to accommodate spaces of various sizes. In addition to enabling optimal display for each store, we prioritized ease of maintenance and ample storage capacity.
